Special Food & Beverage Nights at Saturn

As fall creeps closer, we are looking back at some of our special food and beverage nights at the Saturn Club that took place in August. These special evenings are always very popular with our members, and showcase the talents of our kitchen, bar, and events teams. As we enter fall and then winter, events like these will continue, and keep our membership engaged and entertained through the chilling Buffalo weather. We are even able to continue hosting our members in the Courtyard if they wish, thanks to our gas patio heaters.

Some of the events detailed below are classics at the Saturn Club that our members look forward to and request throughout the year. Others are newer and were brought about by our member-led committees working with Saturn's events team. No matter how these special evenings came to be, they all were a great success with our members because they reinforce the purpose of a social club like Saturn: to bring our members together to socialize and enjoy each other's company, while partaking in some of the many excellent amenities and offerings of our Club.

On August 5, we held a member favorite, Lobster Night! Members had a choice of a lobster or steak dinner - prepared and served from action stations in our Courtyard - along with a variety of appetizers, salads and desserts.

On August 18, we combined another member favorite, Burger Night, with our Prospective New Member Open House. We welcomed our members to bring their friends interested in membership to the Club for a casual yet delightful evening. Our serving team wore themed apparel and our kitchen team provided a wonderful menu of specialty burgers, sandwiches, salads and sides. The loaded fries were particularly popular!

On August 19, we hosted a Wine Tasting with our Food & Beverage Director and Certified Sommelier, Timothy Gallant. This tasting explored the different varietals and styles of South American Wine. South America is a major contributor to the global wine industry, with Chile and Argentina consistently among the world’s 10 largest wine-producing countries, and investment from some of Europe’s most notable wineries. The land is defined in extremes, all working together to create remarkable wine regions.

On August 27, one of our Entertainment Committee members hosted a "Fiesta Friday" Happy Hour. This wonderful evening included margarita and Corona specials, a nacho bar, and themed photo props.

These are the kinds of events that engage our members on what would otherwise be a normal evening of dinner or drinks service. Not only are these events great for our members, they're also fun for our kitchen and events team as they give us all a chance to stretch outside our comfort zone and create something new.
